Organizational Principles
Child Centered: SHRUTI puts HoH/d girls and boys and young people at the center of every program and activity. SHRUTI works with other stakeholders like school teachers, hearing people, parents, society, planners, policy makers and implementers/executers for the betterment of Hard of Hearing and Deafened children recognizing that full inclusion in education and society is needed to ensure equal opportunities.
Rights Based Approach: SHRUTI does not believe in sympathy and empathy but believe in a fundamental Rights Based Approach. It focuses on fulfilling every right of HoH/d people in collaboration with other likeminded institutions/ people and government.
Integrated Activities: SHRUTI attempts to focus on individual needs of HoH/d people, especially children and youth by coordinating different intervention as needed, such as education, awareness, orientation, advocacy, livelihood capacity, leadership and other related initiatives.
